Junior Research Fellow, Pantheon-Sorbonne University
A PhD candidate in Political Science at the Pantheon-Sorbonne University, Camille Popineau researches the formation of institutions and the implementation of a regulated order in Côte d’Ivoire’s rebel areas since 2002. By focusing on training and governance, she studies comparatively the investment of various actors (civil, rebel, state, transnational) in the education, health and security sectors. Thus, she researches their representations of engagement, violence and rebellion and how the rebel groups inspire themselves from the state, the civilians’ expectations and the local and national history. She teaches Comparative Political Societies at Pantheon-Sorbonne University.
